Class climate work

Our kids seem to be very frustrated and angry with each other.  We have taught the children to use a GREEN tone of voice most of the time.  A green zone voice works the best, and gets the most done. If someone is not listening to you, and you have tried a green voice several times, then you can move to a YELLOW tone of voice.  And if that doesn't work, then get a teacher.  People's voices should rarely every go to the RED zone.  A good example of a red tone of voice for kids is stranger danger; a good time to scream your head off.
Mrs. G used a block metaphor as a classroom climate example.  If we are all using green voices and taking good care of each other, then we have a loving community.  If even one child is not working hard to create a calm and kind voice, our whole community falls apart.
