Handwriting Lessons

Our handwriting program is called Handwriting Without Tears.  It helps develop and improve our students' skills through multi-sensory activities.  The children learn proper posture, paper and pencil skills, as well as letter size and place.  We work on pencil grasp and following the letter path.  In addition, the children learn letter skills, word skills and sentence skills.  Here is a song we like to sing:

WHERE DO YOU START YOUR LETTERS?
(sung to "If You're Happy and You Know It")

Where do you start your letters?
At the top.
Where do you start your letters?
At the top.
If you want to write a letter
Then you better, better, better
Remember to start at the top!
